I would like to add a new mailbox on my iphone 5s, using iOS 8. I don’t want to add a new account, but need something other than Inbox, Sent and Trash to store emails that are important. Thanks!

I know there are some posts about this already but they are old now, is there a more up to date solution to this problem?

email notification sync issue with mailbox
After upgrading to IOS 9+, email notification (scroll from top) is not syncing with email box read/deleted mails. It keeps on showing them in notifications as unread and still available even after deleting from respective mail box (like yahoo,hotmail,etc). This happens only when the mail is directly accessed from respective mail box, instead of selecting the mail from notification and reading it or deleting it. I have to restart the device to refresh the list. This never happened before ios 9+ upgrade.
Please share if anyone else sees this or there is a fix for this.

I cannot delete mailbox account from my iPhone5 – pls help
Hi,
I am using iPhone 5.
I had my company e-mail added but don’t use it anymore. I want to delete the mailbox account from my iPhone (Settings -> mail -> chose mailbox -> delete) and it shows “deleting” but does not finish the operation. This mailbox is not working any more or the password has been changed.
What should I do?

How do I disable one mailbox from forwarding to another in Apple mail? All emails come through my imac on Apple mail. I would like to stop a comcast mailbox from forwarding to my icloud email box. Can I restore a mailbox and its contents from time machine?
Background:
I had to completely erase my HD and reinstall El Capitan this week on my 2009 Macbook Pro due to some mysterious storage issues. After restoring from the time machine backup, the Apple techs and I intuited that some of the software on the backup was also corrupted. So I did a manual backup of important folders (what was once in the “home” directory), erased the HD again, dragged the folders back, and have been reinstalling each program/app one at a time from fresh downloads. (All of this fixed the storage issues.)
My problem is that I had a mailbox folder (from a now discontinued school account) that had some very important emails in it. I never did a dedicated backup of the mailbox folder. I can’t just readd the account and download everything, because as noted, the account has been closed for some time.
Question:
Is there any way for me to pull this mailbox and its contents out of my old time machine backup?

Error message iphone 6 plus – Your SMS mailbox is full. New messages cannot be received until you delete some messages
I’ve had this issue 4-5 times in the last month. All my texts have been deleted. My latest backup has 6 total texts on it. After a couple days I receive this message and no longer receive SMS texts, but can send. Resetting settings allows one text only to come through.
Need to know how to fix this without restoring my phone every few days.

Error message: Unable to move message: This message could not be moved to mailbox Trash
I upgraded my iPad Air to iOS9 and subsequent updates. Since then, I was experiencing multiple problems with “This message has not been downloaded from the server errors”, even though I knew that those messages were indeed downloaded because I read them and left them on the iPAD for action in the near future. After reading some hints on various sites, I assumed that this issue affected POP email accounts. I went to our ISP provided and had the tech resent my network settings and switch from POP to IMAP and create a IMAP account. NOW, I am having difficulties deleting my unwanted emails to trash. If I swipe to the left and hit the red TRASH button, or if I highlight the email and go to the top of the page to put it into the trash bin, I get another error message: “Unable to move message: This message could not be moved to the mailbox TRASH.” I have to highlight the email, go to EDIT, select the unwanted email, go to MOVE and then select TRASH before the message disappears. Can anyone help me simplify this process? It used to be so easy with iOS8!

No Sent Mailbox in Mailbox Behaviors on iPhone
Emails that I send with my phone aren’t showing up in the sent mail folder on my mac, even though I have icloud configured and the mail settings the same on each device. I am using imap. In troubleshooting, I went to Mailbox Behaviors to make sure that was set up right, and discovered I have no Sent Mailbox in Mailbox Behaviors on my phone. I do have a Sent folder, however. I tried deleting and re-adding the account, but that did nothing to change the problem. Any ideas?

I just deleted a mailbox that had sub mailboxes by mistake and i need them back!
The mailbox was ‘on my mac’ and had 4 sub folders.
I need these emails badly as they are business related.
Is there anyway to get this mailbox back? i haven’t closed mail or touched anything since.
I don’t see the emails in the trash.
I hope there is a way to save this.
I didn’t realize it would delete the entire subfolders as well. just wasn’t thinking, trying to organize the mess that transferring files has created since i got my new computer.

email won’t download from server after i transfer it from inbox to any other mailbox
I receive email constantly. When I read the email and leave it in the inbox it stays. When I read the email then save it in Archives or any other mailbox then try to retrieve it later it will say “This message has not been downloaded from the server” and all is lost! I can bring that email back up or transfer it back to inbox or anything. This started happening when I updated to IOS 9. I have not changed anything else to cause this issue. Can someone tell me how to fix this irritant? Thanks.

An error occurred while moving messages to mailbox “Trash — (Folder)”. Leopard/Lion … who cares. I’ve always been able to set up my corporate Exchange email account using OSX Mail application. However, I have NEVER been able to delete messages from my InBox. What’s the deal? Is this just a set up issue I am unaware of or is this a long-standing bug Apple refuses to fix?

Applescript error using Mail when trying to get a mailbox folder

The above script snippet fails to retrieve an existing mailbox in Google Gmail although it works in other accounts. It is being used in filtering spam. The mailbox exists and has email data in it. So my questions a
- What does that error, “Can’t get…” mean given that the mailbox exists and it is viewable in Mail for that account?
- Is there some sort of workaround possible?
- Is there some sort of troubleshooting to reveal the mailbox issue involved?
This script is used to work with and filter spam messages in Mail.app. Thanks for any guidance!
